About Kosma Connect
Kosma Connect is an international studio consultancy built on where interactions happen through technology, within organizations, and by people, and that the design of these meeting points often lacks care, depth, or consciousness about what it asks of the people involved.
We support individuals, founders, and organizations navigating interactions across digital and hybrid spaces, organizational structures, and personal complexity. We work at the intersection of technology, trust, governance, and human behavior — helping turn complexity into clarity and engagement into actual outcomes.
Our work combines strategic consulting with hands-on support: interaction and identity strategy, socio-technical system design, clarity in organizational interactions, and individual empowerment coaching. We also support smaller organizations with pragmatic services such as SEO and AI optimization, often picked up where internal capacity runs short.
Kosma Connect works internationally with private individuals, SMEs, non-profits, public institutions, and mission-driven initiatives. We are typically brought in when problems are unclear, perspectives are misaligned, or existing solutions have already been tried and found wanting.
What we do not do: implement systems, operate platforms, or act as a technology vendor.
Our value is depth and independent perspective — across all three of our playgrounds: digital, organizational, personal.

Founder
Martina Kolpondinos
The visionary
Hi, my name is Martina – founder of Kosma Connect: a space where human values and digital innovation meet, and where trust isn’t a feature – it’s the foundation.
Before human-centered design became a selling point, my work already was about identifying and bridging the gap between what systems were built to do versus what people actually needed from them, and how they enabled people to interact with them. That area has driven fifteen+ years across public institutions, global organizations, and digital ecosystems — and a PhD at the University of Zurich researching and creating a solution for how interactions can be made more inclusive and participatory for people beyond the reach of the organizations building the systems.
Equally, my path into decentralized identity was not about following a trend. Years ago, participatory design alone no longer felt sufficient. In 2022, I then attended the Internet Identity Workshop where self-sovereign identity came into my focus as the missing piece — and I have been building in that space ever since.
What followed was full immersion. In January 2026, I was elected to the Steering Committee of the Trust over IP Foundation, where Kosma Connect now works alongside GLEIF, GS1, and practitioners from across the world. I co-chair the joint Decentralized Identity Foundation / Trust over IP Decentralized Trust Working Group, and I am a co-editor of the did:webvh specification, a DID method I have been contributing to with some of the most respected names in decentralized identity.
The path there ran through 15 months embedded in the Swiss federal e-ID team as a Kosma Connect sub-contractor, and through joining the First Person Project on decentralized proof of personhood and verifiable relationships alongside Drummond Reed — as co-organizer of the First Person Cooperative and ecosystem architect of the First Person Network.
I further am participating in the Revisiting Self-Sovereign Identity initiative, the working group convened by Christopher Allen (the internet cryptography pioneer who co-authored the TLS security standard, and who later coined the term "self-sovereign identity" and co-authored the W3C Decentralized Identifiers standard), to develop coercion-prevention lenses for the next generation of identity systems. My March 2026 blog post on Technology Paternalism — the first published output from that workshop — was cited by Allen himself as work he wished every identity project would apply (Life with Alacrity, Blockchain Commons).
Managing and shaping this journey has been supported by my executive studies at UC Berkeley Haas, which I did during the pandemic and which added an important strategic lens to my work.
My journey has always been guided by curiosity, a strong sense of fairness, and a belief that technology should elevate people, not shut them out. Born into Switzerland’s precision, rooted in Italian warmth, married into Greek culture, and nurtured by a global mindset I bring layered perspectives into everything I do.
I work at the intersection of deep listening, strategic thinking, and systems reimagining – pushing past convention to create experiences through interactions in digital and hybrid spaces that are intuitive, empowering, and human-first.
Also: I am a proud cat mom, an amateur archer, a godmother to two radiant souls, and a former yoga teacher – well, balance makes a difference, both online and off.
